Favorite Central Memories: This
is a toughie. Setting aside all my substance-induced experiences, I
guess my favorite memory relates to preparing and delivering my joint
presentation on aristocracies with Aaron Alter in Mr. Sharp's Grade 13 English.
We didn't have any material and spent the evening before the presentation in a
non-ordinary state of consciousness hoping for divine inspiration to be
bestowed upon us by some benevolent being. We ended the evening having written
less than a paragraph. I will never forget Allan Reid asking Aaron and me a very
scholarly question about the presentation in front of the class and Aaron giving
a very sincere "I don't know" as a response. Our presentation may have sucked
but at least we had integrity.
